Warner Bros. has picked up the film rights to Capeshooters, an upcoming comic from Rob Liefeld. Bryan Singer is set to produce through his WB-based Bad Hat Harry Productions.
In the comic, two slackers become paparazzi who specialize in shooting video of superheroes. But they find themselves on the run when they uncover evidence that a legendary hero is actually a villain.
The screenplay is being written by J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani, who work on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show and American Idol.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment and Liefield will produce in some capacity. Bad Hat Harry’s Alex Garcia will executive produce.

Liefeld and Singer… It’s a marriage made in HELL! Ironic, since Liefeld’s apparently a big Bible-thumper.
And it’s being written by a couple of guys working on American Idol… Yeah, I’ll pass on this one.
Shouldn’t WB be working on getting good scripts for their DC properties not named Batman?

The writers are some of the most in demand in the film business. Their spec script Kamikaze Love sparked a heated bidding war between several studios.
We’re lucky to have them onboard.
Bryan Singer is a great guy.
And BTW, the good book teaches to love everyone brutha…

“Damiani and Lavin, repped by WMA and Luber Roklin Entertainment, are writers on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM morning show and also work on “American Idol.” The first feature script, “Kamikaze Love,” was on the Black List last year and is set up at Screen Gems.”

Wow, you can tell if the script is good or not based on the press release?
Shaun, you should take your show on the road, man!

Yeah, Rob the good book does say that but it also says for us not to partner with unbelievers for what do they know of the light. You can’t play in both worlds my friend.
I think God has blessed you and put you in a place that you can do a lot to lift up His ministry. Just becareful not be corrupted because do not be fooled bad company corrupts.
Hope it does well for you the concept sounds cool.
