DST’s plans for this record-breaking event include several convention exclusives, contests, panels, a blood drive, free giveaways and the launch of a brand new website! Below is a schedule of events as well as a summary of this year’s exclusives and activities scheduled for the Diamond Select Toys booth (#2607).
Preview Night opens on Wednesday, July 23rd and gives convention attendees their first chance to pick up their favorite Comic Con exclusive items.

I am exhibiting at SDCC and the Fanfare / Ponent Mon booth is C04 – it’s waaaay in the top right hand corner of the show (enter at door A and walk straight ’til you hit a wall, then turn round and wave!).
For the public I will, of course, have all my titles on sale (including the last few copies of the “awaiting reprint Blue” by Kiriko Nananan). Center stage will be Eisner nominee “The Ice Wanderer” by Jiro Taniguchi. Come wish me luck for Frdiay night! SDCC will also mark the first West Coast appearance of Disappearance Diary by Hideo Azuma which caused quite a stir during it’s unveiling at NYCC! That title will ship from Diamond soon after the show.
For the more serious and all professionals I will be unveiling Taniguchi’s next book from us “The Quest For The Missing Girl”.

Arthur Suydam will be present at the RADICAL PUBLISHING BOOTH (#2806) on SATURDAY, JULY 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. appearing alongside Lucio Parrillo and Steve Niles.
Created by comics pioneer Steve Niles(30 Days of Night), CITY OF DUST is the dark and challenging tale of Detective Philip Khrome, a cop in a futuristic society that has outlawed all forms of imagination. When a series of horrifying murders leads Khrome to the city’s dark secret, he must risk everything to stop the crimes and discover the truth.
“Arthur’s work has continually been on the cutting edge of the industry and I’m elated to have his vision on CITY OF DUST” states Radical Publishing’s President and Publisher, Barry Levine. “Here at Radical we aim to collaborate with the best artists, writers and creators working in the medium and Arthur’s unique talent certainly puts him in that category. In addition to providing the cover to Radical’s upcoming CITY OF DUST #1, Sudyam painted the cover of HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS #5 (Available in the current July Previews from Diamond).
