San Diego Bound: Thursday/Friday programming

July 8th, 2008
Author JK Parkin

I’ll have a proper round-up of info on the San Diego Comic-Con either later today or tomorrow (keep sending it!) but for now you can start planning your Thursday and Friday at the con.

Lots of good stuff, which I’m sure myself or one of my colleagues will dive into soon, but this panel kind of jumped out at me because it sounds so sinisterly secretive:

3:30-4:30 Marvel to the Nth Degree— In today’s world, comic-loving fans should be able to enjoy their graphic entertainment in the most thoroughly modern media. At this panel, Marvel unveils a covert project it has been seeding as part of a secret partnership for many months. You’ll get a sneak peek at an unprecedented way to experience a new work by one of the biggest names in entertainment (not comic books, entertainment). Featuring Joe Quesada (Marvel editor-in-chief), Alex Maleev (Daredevil), and Ruwan Jayatilleke (SVP, Marvel strategic development), and others who shall not be named at the moment. The game is about to be changed. Room 6A

I think to solve this mystery, though, you just have to look at the title, “Nth Degree.” Obviously they’re bringing back the Ultimate Ninja, Nth Man:

Nth Man

Edit: It looks like they may have jumped the gun with all the Friday’s programming, because it looks like it has been pulled down.

Oh don’t tease me…a Nth Man relaunch wold be heavenly.

What;s more likely is some sort of digital delivery application designed to push people to their DCU system.

  2. Dave S Says:

There’s a Click and Clack cartoon?

  3. There's No Nerd Like Coyle, Part 2 Says:

Heavenly if you like smirky, limp-wristed satire from a person who thinks all his readers are idiots, sure.

  4. Thacher E Cleveland Says:

You’re right, Coyle. Thanks for pointing out that I’m stupid for liking what I like.

I keep forgetting that’s the Comic Book Way.

  5. Nat Gertler Says:

The Click and Clack cartoon launches tomorrow (Wednesday) on most PBS stations.

    Nope! :)

    Ruwan,
Then that makes me a happy camper. But I’m biased, I’m not a fan of large scale on-line pleasure reading.

Does this mean we get the Nth man relaunch? Or at least a trade? ;)

Can’t say what the project is…or even if “it” would be considered a project per se. Can’t say really how it will be delivered….or even what medium it might or might be in. What I can say it is a first time for Marvel and unique….

  9. Frank Cohee Says:

Please tell me it’s not a cross-media Marvel MMO…because my development group is 95% of the way into a completely revolutionary concept and design for one and we’d really like to see our vision come to life.
