My nomination for headline of the week (Spoilers, maybe?): “Batman Gets Orgy Shock In New Comic Book” — from a brief item in the Glasgow Sunday Mail about the latest twist in Grant Morrison’s “Batman RIP” storyline.
Orgy shocks are much worse than electrical shocks. Or so I’m told.

Won’t these tabloids leave Bruce Wayne alone!

Well, if true, I won’t be reading anything written by Grant Morrison anytime soon.
There’s nothing wrong with building on the past or re-interpretting what has come before. But this? Just ridiculous.
Are the editors too afraid of editing Morrison?

Whoa, for serious? Man, I was trade-waiting on Morrison’s Batman, but maybe I’ll just save my money.

It’s part of the story line wherein a criminal organization wants to destroy Batman/Bruce Wayne by exploiting his weaknesses. Why not attack his parents, it’s why he is who he is, right?

Ugh…that is worse than bringing back the dead. I loves me some Morrison but…ugh.
I like my superhero comics with adult shading but then there is just questionable. Is it a Vertigo book now?

Just to reiterate what Daniel said, thus far these “revelations” have come from a criminal organization which is trying to drive Bruce Wayne to a nervous breakdown and “destroy” him. They might not be the most reliable people in the world. You might even say they have a reason to LIE about Thomas and Martha Wayne!
Or Morrison is a monster and is trying to rape your (and Bruce Wayne’s) childhood. It’s a toss-up!

I’ve got some land in northwest Arkansas I’d like to sell you.

Wow, everyone, even news syndicates, seems to always misinterpret Grant Morrison XD

If everyone is gearing up to drop “Batman” all ready, then I’d say the Black Glove is succeeding in their mission, no?

Yeah, it’s all going to turn out to be a hoax. If not a part of Morisson’s story, it will happen immediately after he leaves the title.
