EW.com talks with rapper/actor Method Man about his eponymous graphic novel, to be released next month by Hachette. The comic — conceived by Method Man, scripted by David Atchison and illustrated by Sanford Greene — stars Method Man’s alter ego Peerless Paine, a “murder priest” who battles the demonic spirit Lilith.
The website also has a 10-page excerpt of Method Man.

I remember Sanford Greene being a much better artist than these pages demonstrate.
I hate to say that this story feels as recycled as the comic boards I use to back my collection.

Huh, is this why Method Man was the one Wu-Tang member left out (and replaced by the fictitious “MZA”) of the crappy Wu-Tang comic book from waaaaay back when?
Even though I sincerely doubt it, I am going to assume this is true.

Yeah I’ve seen better work from Sanford, not really feeling these page. Dialogue isn’t making me think of Meth either, it’s kind of bad/corny.
Hopefully at least the last page is just Meth getting shot in the head for what he done did to Prop Joe. $&*@ you, Cheese.

MZA was one of Method’s aliases.
This book is a separate deal, and Genius has a book on deck from the same company, I believe.
