Middleton being relegated to comic covers and DVD packaging is a crime. I realize he’s a bit slow, but surely there’s a mini out there he could do.
I just watched the Dr. Strange DVD and was pleasantly surprised. I haven’t liked the other three that came out (Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2 and Iron Man), so I really wasn’t expecting to like it. I’m definitely interested in this one, though. The concept is interesting and it’s a bit of a clean slate.

Is Middleton no longer a DC exclusive? Aside from the Superman/Shazam min-series, did he produce any interior work in the past 3 or so years?

Middleton drew the Metamorpho/Aquaman issue of the Outsiders: Five of a Kind miniseries.

I understood that the reason Joshua Middleton doesn’t do interiors is less because he’s slow and more because he doesn’t like superheroes so much, and gets bored drawing them.
He should really be doing fantasy comics. He captures that ethereal magical atmosphere so well.

Looks awesome. I thought they might have gotten Jim Cheung or someone to do it but Middleton’s art is perfect.
