Lions Gate has released a teaser trailer for Punisher: War Zone, starring Ray Stevenson. The movie, directed by Lexi Alexander, is due in theaters on Dec. 5.

Stevenson looks the part and is capable of emotional nuance as displayed in the HBO series ROME. That fact, coupled with all the guns, explosions, and urban setting makes me feel good about War Zone.

reminds me of The Replacement Killers, and that’s not a bad thing. Is the director in this? That dame is hella fine.

Doesn’t look great, but it doesn’t look any worse than the Thomas Jane movie either.
It almost sounded like Stevenson still has a bit of his accent in that clip. That would be a little distracting if does.

I’m definitely not a movie snob since I actually enjoyed the last Punisher flick(except for it being set in Florida and the overkill of Castle’s entire family tree being killed in a drawn out slaughter). Having said that, this looks like direct-to-video crap giving us another Punisher with an accent. I’m hoping he doesn’t wear the body armor the whole movie, since it looks kinda lame. As faint as the “skull” looks, they might as well have not bothered. While he doesn’t have to wear a skintight costume with a belt of ammo for skull teeth, without a skull the movie’s just Death Wish.

Wow, that scene with the mob bosses looks ripped right Batman Y1.
Not sure what to make of the rest though, dude does have some kind of accent, that’s gonna be hard to listen to I think.
