On Marvel’s Spider-Office blog, Editor Steve Wacker announces the departures this week of Associate Editor Molly Lazer and Assistant Editor Aubrey Sitterson.

Wow, I’m actually really surprised by this. Good for them though, but they were pretty solid Assopciate/Assistant Editors, and Molly Lazer was starting to get some good gigs as editor on her own.
I wonder who’ll replace them…

Leaving Marvel for WWE… I’m sure the pay is better, but that’s gotta be an insult for Marvel. At least, I would think so.

Why? Same content, different delivery

Congrats to Aubrey and Molly!

Goodbye, kids! It was great working with you. Bright futures await.

I predict that they will be replaced by skrulls.

HUGE blow to Marvel! That ship is sinking. Seriously, who leaves a job for another one?!
May 23rd, 2008 at 2:10 pm
What good news, good luck to them both! I will miss Aubrey Sitterson, his books were fun and goofy, like Dan Slott’s She-Hulk and I Heart Marvel, and I was looking forward to his Marvel Underground book. Ah, good times.

I really liked the books Aubrey Sitterson was putting out, like I Heart Marvel or when Dan Slott was on She-Hulk, aah real fun goofy books. Thank you for those. Good luck to both you and Molly. Hope they gave you both a massive send-off!

Wayne Hollander wins.

Who leaves a job for another one? What world do you live in? You think no one ever leaves a job for a better one?
Congrats girls! Best of luck!

Does this make the Marvel Indie anthology book that Stitson was working on that much more unlikely? Haven’t heard a thing about that since early 2007…

To Tom;
I agree! That ship IS sinking and fast! Have you noticed how their movies have been bombing and how they no longer are number one in the industry? And their comics, when was the last time they sold out, or won an award?

Oh, wait…
Yep, the ship is indeed sinking…

I do believe Tom was being sarcastic, but I’m not a mind reader. Plus, my sarcasm detector’s been acting wonky recently.
Anyways, good luck to Molly and Aubrey in their new endeavors.

Guess what? Molly Lazer was marvel_b0y.

Aubrey Sitterson was editing the Marvel “Indie” anthology series, wasn’t he? I sure hope that thing doesn’t get thrown in some closet somewhere now that he’s gone.

Wow, first Cable & Deadpool leaves me, and now their splendid editor Molly Boose? Damn man. And Aubrey’s out of context-stuff was gold.
You now what? With these to leaving, it’s the first time I’ve cared about ast. editors leaving.
