  1. DC_B0y Says:

Is this why Marvel_b0y thought Quesada must be fired?

  2. Brian Says:

Or perhaps this is a major coup and someone is jumping over to another publisher?

  3. There's No Nerd Like Coyle, Part 1 Says:

I don’t think Marvel could survive a Geoff Johns presidency.

  4. Alan Coil Says:

It’s just Bendis shooting off his yap again. I think we all remember the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Bendia has about 23 seconds left in his 15 minutes.

That’s what I’m thinking. Maybe they’ll write a book together to help Wizard not go under?

    Also, where are the smilies?

He’s been a top ten seller writer for almost nine years.

Ejulp, Bendis didn’t get into the top ten area until he was writing the Avengers in 2004. That’s not to say his work before wasn’t good, but at best he was getting 50k-ish with his DD work.

  8. JD Says:

Ken, you’re wrong : Ultimate Spider-Man was a top 10 book quite consistently in 2001-2002, with sales around 80K, and hit the 110K range in 2003.

  9. Stopwatch Says:

Bendis vs Johns? I don’t know… Bendis can talk a good game, but Johns pushes peoples eyeballs out the back of their head.

  10. Alan Coil Says:

“He’s been a top ten seller writer for almost nine years.”

But he hasn’t been a Top 10 writer in ages.

You’re right, my mistake; for some reason I kept thinking it started shooting up in sales around the Ultimate Venom storyline (38-ish) because good word of mouth was getting around that this is the best Spider-book out there (and still is).
