The new Batmobile, from "Batman" #676

You call that a supercar? Pfft. The original supercar — the Batmobile — gets a redesign with next week’s Batman #676, which kicks off the much-anticipated “Batman R.I.P.” storyline. MySpace Comic Books has the first look at Batman’s new ride.

How is a real Audi less superior than a cartoon drawing of the batmobile…?

I’d rather have the real car, but I do admit that the redesign looks great in the books.

  2. Rich Says:

Still has nothing on Tony’s helicarrier.

  3. Richard Daley Says:

I would be willing to bet that the Batmobile corners better than the helicarrier

  4. Fanboy Menace Says:

Very cool. Finally, a Batmobile I like. :D

  5. rolando Says:

Sorry, but aside from the Bat-rims, it looks like an ordinary car with tricked out lights.

I’m not asking for the 60’s Batmobile, or the Burton-jet-engine-Batmobile, or the Bat-tank from Batman Begins… those are all somewhat extreme examples. But it shouldn’t look like something I could do in a weekend with my limited skills, either.

“Still has nothing on Tony’s helicarrier.”

Helicarrier fell from the sky, plus the Batmoble doesn’t have a douchebag behind the wheel. :)

  7. Rich Says:

    Ha! Excellent points, Daniel.

  8. Matthew Craig Says:

“the Batmoble doesn’t have a douchebag behind the wheel.”

Of course, the Canyonero comes with this as standard.

  9. Yawn Says:

Of course “Tony Stark’s got nothin’” on Batman,Bruce is superior in every way.
