Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire

Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden’s illustrated novel Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire, is a finalist for the first Shirley Jackson Awards, which recognize “outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic.”

The full list of nominees can be found here. The winners will be announced on July 20 at the Readercon Conference on Imaginative Literature in Burlington, Mass.

The awards are named in honor of Shirley Jackson, author of such classic horror works as The Haunting of Hill House and “The Lottery.”
