Frank miller is an entertainment genius. I do feel though that he needs to change the color in spirit, because if he doesn’t, it will look like a rip off of his own work.

Even Miller’s full-color comics are exercises in wannabe tough-guy camp excess. How is this supposed to make me feel better about his desire to film what HE perceives to be the essence of the Spirit instead of what Eisner actually did?

I think he means actual color. Sin City had spot color (like the yellow bastard), so just a little color wouldn’t be a difference between the two movies.

Is the colour he’s talking about those desaturated hues in the Spirit’s face? Because everything I’ve seen of the Spirit so far has him in an all black suit.

Sin City was fun and all but I still sort of kind of wish it was never made because it means we lost the potential A Princess of Mars Rodriguez movie which would have been worth a thousand Sin Cities.
