Action Figure Insider reports on the Mattel panel at the New York Comic Con today, which included a list of San Diego Comic Con exclusives and details on figures for their Justice League Unlimited, DC Universe Classics and DC Infinite Heroes.
Folks attending SDCC this summer can look forward to some fun exclusives — a JLU Giganta two-pack, featuring both 10” and 4” versions of the characters, and a DC Universe Classics figure of Lobo and his dog. “No bike, just the main man, his pooch, and some bitchin’ chains!” There will also be figures from The Dark Knight.

Wow. That’s a lot of great stuff. I’d be excited if I thought I might ever see these figures in stores. I still haven’t seen the new figures they announced LAST YEAR. Not a single sighting of Orion, Vigilante, Blue Devil, Nemesis, Lightray, Parasite, Stargirl, Star Sapphire, Sand, Hawkman, Fire, Ice, Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, Deadshot, Volcana…
I also see they’re “rereleasing” the Grodd six-pack with redecoed figures. Swell. Maybe the second time around the set might actually make it to the Atlanta area (not that the “rereleased” Vigilante or Orion ever showed up, though). I’m not going to hold out too much hope for ever seeing the other two announced six-packs.
Maybe I should just thank Mattel for saving me money by not making their products available for purchase, and leave it at that.

I foudn Vigilante…in an airport in Brazil. Ditto for Orion w/Astrobelt/truss/thingie. I found Lightray @ target and I THINK I’ve seen Stargirl. But the others…nada. Target and ToysRus seem to recucycle the same figs over and over, like Shining Knight and the uberubiquitous Batman.
