Too young. Scarlet was about 15 years older than me when I first saw the G.I. Joe cartoon, so Scarlet should not be played by anyone under 50.

You can’t be Scarlett if your red hair is a poor dye job.

I was kinda worried about this movie, but the more I see the less I am.
But I swear, I swear if they take the innate American-Ness from this, pretend the Joe’s are an ‘international’ group, I’m gonna picket.
Or at the very least write numerous nasty internet postings.
Remember, it’s G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO
Not G.I. Joe, An International Anti-Terrorist Group.
AMERICAN.

effing lame. as much as I love Rachel Nichols, why must she be in black? What was wrong with the fatigues she originally has from the comics/cartoon, too much color? Effing stupid. This film is gonna tank hard
April 16th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
I concur.

I hope everything in this movie isn’t gonna be black, though it would make sense to have dark spy gear and such.
GI Joe was always military but colorful.

Is it just me or does she have seperate armor plates for each butt cheek?
April 16th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
No armor on the butt. That’s shiny black material and there is less shiny material running down the middle. Like underwear on the outside.
April 16th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
Pure black shows up noticeably in night-vision scopes/goggles. That’s why there is no black in the current various iterations of digital camouflage.

Why is Batgirl in the GI Joe movie?
April 16th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
Wow, I’ve never seen so many people complain about a picture of a pretty girl in skintight pleather and carrying a crossbow in my life.
April 17th, 2008 at 7:18 am
GI Joe is going to tank everywhere outside the US, because no-one outside the US has ever heard of it.

Except for Snake Eyes, enough with the black leather wear. Done in Batman, X-Men, Matrix etc. They can do muted colors, and tweaked combat gear.
April 17th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Never mind Scarlett. Who’s playing Lady Jaye? (I always thought she was a lot cuter, and had a rather sexy Margot Kidder-eqsue voice, and she also had what looked like a real uniform and not that silly leotard Scarlett wore.)
April 17th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
I’d tap that.
Are they still making GI JOE an acronym for “UN organized piece of shit,” or will there be a mention of it being American? You know, because of it being Real American Heroes and whatnot?
April 17th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Among the things I don’t care about at all:
Anything based on 80s cartoons.
April 18th, 2008 at 10:46 am
I don’t care about this movie either, but more gratuitous butt shots of Ms. Nichols please.

The creative bankruptcy in Hollywood continues to roll along.
