"Heroes," by Cameron Stewart

Third season of Heroes debuts Sept. 15

As Kevin mentioned earlier, NBC bucked tradition and announced their 2008-2009 TV schedule yesterday. Typically the networks wait until May to reveal what their line-ups will look like, but NBC decided to go early. But what the heck … the TV season has already been a bit insane, what with the writer’s strike and all.

In addition to the XIII mini Kevin talked about, other highlights included:

Chuck and Heroes return to Mondays in the fall. Heroes will kick off with a clip show and a two-hour premiere Sept. 15. Heroes: Origins is dead, per SciFi Wire.
–In the spring, look for a new show called Merlin starring Buffy alum Anthony Stewart Head.
The Office gets a spin-off that’ll debut during the Super Bowl.
Knight Rider returns as a regular series.
–Christian Slater stars in a new series called My Own Worst Enemy.
ER is ending its run about a decade later than it should have.

NBC’s full schedule can be found at the link up top.

Speaking of Heroes …

Action Figure Hub has pictures of two Toys R Us exclusive Heroes figures coming from Mezco, Dirty Claire and Times Square tourist Hiro.

Is it wrong that I’m hoping Shark Taggers will be about graffiti artists and not sharks? Also, Giles!

Anthony Stewart Head gets his own show? Gimmie gimmie gimmie details!

One of the great things about having the BBC America channel is that in the last few years I’ve seen him in a variety of roles. He was great on Buffy, but he also has a lot of versatility.
