Benderspink snaps up Paper Street’s Pencilneck

Pencilneck #1

It’s been a busy week for the Benderspink management and production company. Yesterday it revealed it’s developing a movie based on the vampire-zombie comic Last Blood, and today it announced it’s acquired the rights to Victor Carungi’s crime thriller Pencilneck.

Both are relatively small properties, particularly when compared to the rest of Benderspink’s comic-book slate, which includes Y: The Last Man and Power and Glory: Pencilneck is published by Paper Street Comics, and Last Blood by Blatant Comics.

Pencilneck centers on a mild-mannered banker who, in order to save his criminal brother, is forced to help the mafia rob his employer. When the heist goes wrong, the banker snaps and goes on a bloody rampage to rescue his brother.
