American Godzilla ’94: The Graphic Novel

March 28th, 2008
Author Michael May

Didn’t you love that American Godzilla movie starring Matthew Broderick? Me either.

Did you know that four years before that movie there was a different script for the project, but it was rejected? Okay, maybe you knew that part, but I didn’t.

Wanna know what that script was like though? Todd Tennant’s here to tell you. In comic book form! Go, go, Godzilla.

The screenplay itself is available on the wordplayer site; has been for years; it’s pretty good. Certainly better than what they made, anyways.

No, this is only a fan-based project thus far, but I thought you both might like to see my “TryStar” G’94 2D Trailer I just completed to plug my American GODZILLA ’94 online graphic novel. It deals with 2 “looters” (roughly based on characters from the GODZILLA Rossio/Elliott screenplay) and their misadventures with the original American Godzilla. There is also a surprise guest appearance at the end.
