In addition to The Stranded, which Kevin blogged about yesterday, the Sci Fi Channel has also picked up a new show called True Believer:
True Believer is a two-hour backdoor pilot based on an original concept from [Rosario] Dawson, David Atchinson (Dawson’s co-author on the Image Comics series Occult Crimes Task Force), Matthew Spradlin and Tom Feister. The contemporary dramedy centers on a 20-something comic book nerd who hires a washed-up real-life superhero to be his crimefighting sidekick and to teach him the ropes.
Dawson will serve as executive producer, with Atchinson and Spradlin aboard to write. Feister will consult on the project.
The network also picked up the pilot for a show called Deputized, about a guy who accidentally ends up wearing an alien exoskeleton, and Alice, a six-hour miniseries that retells Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

I still love reading Rosario Dawson being into the geek culture. With all these new series on Sci-fi, I’ll have to watch more of SF channel.
