Let’s say live in Japan and want to get a job in the manga or anime industry. What do you do? Well, according to AkibaBlog, you attend the Raku-Job event where more than 2,000 hopefulls stand in line American-Idol style in the hopes of garnering employment with such companies as Hobby Japan and Koudansha.
Originally, companies were guessing to have about a thousand participants, but there were about two thousand participants arrived at the site. Peperoncino-san says “I was just watching CM or CD of Jam on the screen of UDX (the site) for 3 hours while I was waiting…” Omoitattaga-Kititsu-san says “I went there at little after 3pm, and because of the long line, I finally entered to the site around 4pm.” Since many people had to wait for a long time, there was even an apology from the event.
AkibaBlog also has lots of pictures from the event too.
