Worth1000 is doing one of those Photoshop-style contests you see on the Internet these days, the topic being a mash-up of famous paintings and superheroes.

    Some of these are really funny, and really good. Interesting that several people came up with inserting Batman (or the Bat-signal) into “Starry Night.” I really liked Spidey in the Rockwell painting too.

    I think one painting of Batman holding a naked man was plenty, however. :-)

    Interesting that a character created by the Jewish (I think they were Jewish…) has been superimposed in the art of a rabid and bigoted anti-Semite.

    Am I the only one who finds that ironic, or is that just the art history nerd in me?
