Bookslut’s Jeff VanderMeer puts the band back together, so to speak, as he asks his fellow Eisner judges from last year to share their best of 2007 lists. If you’ve been following Dick Hyacinth’s meta-list project, then you probably won’t be too surprised to see what made their lists, but it’s worth reading for the commentary, esp. from Chris Reilly.
One notable thing I learned from the list … Jason Shiga’s excellent graphic novel, Bookhunter, is available for free on the Web. It’s definitely woth checking out if you haven’t already. As Reilly says, “Have you ever wondered what C.S.I. would be like if it were a good show, but about books? My friend, Bookhunter is the answer to your prayers.”
