Back to the 31st Century.

March 3rd, 2008
Author Graeme McMillan

As if Geoff Johns wasn’t making enough Legion fans happy with his current Action Comics run, he goes and posts this on his forum:

An epilogue to the Legion arc, with some pretty big revelations that play into the DCU as a whole, happen[s] in issue #864.

The title of the issue – BATMAN AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES.

It’s almost as if Geoff is building to something, isn’t it…?

Yeah…I’m pretty sure he is…and it is one of the best things I’ve gotten to read over the last few months.

Mark Waid already did this in Brave and the Bold.

  3. The Constant Coyle Says:

For a moment I read that as Batman and the LEGO Super-Heroes.

“Mark Waid already did this in Brave and the Bold.”

Yeah, but what is ‘this’? Waid may have done the meeting already, but Johns probably has a specific story that he’s trying to tell.

  5. Ken Says:

It’s amazing how much fanwank Johns can write in a given month. Points for stamina, anyway.

  6. Chris Says:

I’m guessing it’s similar to the story where Superman and Jimmy Olsen go to the Bottle City of Kandor and assume the identities of Nightwing and Flamebird.

Since he doesn’t have superpowers in the future due to the Red Sun thing, it make senses that he adopts the identity of a non-powered hero.

  7. Matthew E Says:

I have the notion that it’s going to involve Superman telling Batman about his recent reunion with the Legion, and Batman figuring out for himself, “You know… I recently met a different bunch of kids who called themselves the Legion. I wonder what’s going on,” and investigating.

  8. Gloria Says:

Forget Supes, forget Batman…all I want to know is: shall we have Bouncing Boy back?
