Tom Brevoort really can’t help himself:
Perhaps I’m simply a bad person, but I’m finding the “audience participation” threads so fascinating to watch as they unfold that I’m going to try for another one. Not sure this is going to work quite as well–bear with me, I’m making most of this up as I go along.
So let’s see if we can’t select a few titles from the Marvel line to cancel, and come up with a few new titles to replace them.
Similar rules apply: each poster can nominate one title to send to the showers, and one new title that they’d like to see. And any poster can veto any nomination, either for book to cancel or book to create, for any reason.
Cancelled so far: New Warriors, Young X-Men, X-Force, Hercules, Wolverine: Origins and Nova. Why do people hate the bucket heads…?

I agree with the majority of those cancellations except Nova (which I’m sure will shape up soon with a steady artist). I’m excited about Guardians of the Galaxy and Capt. Britain & MI:13 very much so anything more along these lines would be great.

Young X-Men, X-Force, X-Men:Legacy, Incredible HURCules, Wolverine: Origins, Cable and Deadpool, all the aftersmash series, Son of Hulk, Mighty Avengers, Runaways, Young Avengers, Ghost Rider, Punisher (MAX), Moonknight…
Gosh….so many titles that, frankly, looks like accesories…

Its a good thing all comic fans are not the same, the only stuff I read from Marvel is the more mature books such as Punisher Max, Runaways is also so good.

Cancel Daredevil. Or at least save it from the “noir” ghetto it has fallen into.

“Send to the showers”? Holy shit.

I’d like to veto Young X-Men, X-Force, Mighty Avengers, Young Avengers, Runaways, and Ghost Rider, and Punisher (MAX) (so many new books in the list, wow).

For the record, Jaap!, I’m pretty sure he means “send to the showers” in the sense of “kicked out of a sporting event to the locker room,” not the sense of “herding minorities to their death”.

Wow… I’m not reading DD currently, but that’s the first I haven’t heard something good about it. Based on Brubaker’s past Batman, and current Captain America work, I can’t imagine it not being good.
If there’s anything Marvel needs to cancel, it’s Wolverine: Origins. I got suckered into that trash heap when I bought the first several issues all at once, when I got back into comic reading a couple of years ago.
I liked Quesada’s cover art, never stopping to think the book might actually suck as bad as it does. Stuck with it for a while, and finally wised up and dropped that shite… Every now and then I flip through it at my LCS to see if it got any better. It hasn’t. Awful, awful book.
I wouldn’t mind seeing the thrice-monthly, BND Amazing Spider-Man get axed either. Retcon OMD somehow, and start over again.
