Mostly taken on day two …
Chumble Spuzz creator Ethan Nicolle shows off the Chumble Spuzz poster he was giving away to folks who bought the book at the SLG booth. If you haven’t check out the book, you can find the individual issues on Eyemelt.com. It’s the story of two guys, Gunther and Klem, who win a pig at the state fair that’s possessed by Satan. So they head to Hell to kill the devil and save the pig. I read it a couple of weeks ago, and it’s very funny stuff; it also features a wonderful introduction by Doug TenNapel on religion and comics.
Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan at their panel on Saturday, where they announced the second volume of DEMO.
Steve Lieber and his wife Sara Ryan. Steve said he’s working on the next Whiteout book right now, as well as a spelunking book with Jeff Parker that doesn’t have a publisher yet. Sarah was selling several of her mini-comics, including Click, Me and Edith Head, and the Flytrap series. Check’em out here.
Rich Koslowski, creator of the awesome Three Fingers, The King and the upcoming BB Wolf & The 3 L.P.s. I’d forgotten that Wayne Beamer had posted some preview art from the series here on Blog@ almost a year ago, but the light went off when Rich pulled out some more pages from the series. It looks awesome. Top Shelf is going to publish it, but it may not be for awhile; the book is done, but they want to give it a big push.
Peter Mayhew, and the sign hanging over his booth.
