What? That’s all you’ve got? I need more info!

More delays for Ex Machina. Whoohoo.
February 23rd, 2008 at 8:58 am
So… this is a Millar-world project then?
February 23rd, 2008 at 9:13 am
Yes, exactly what we needed, Mark Millar, writing a comic book, called War heroes. I’m positive this book will have zero political analogies or agenda.
February 23rd, 2008 at 11:16 am
Any other writer and I’d check it out. I’d really rather just have Ex Machina.
February 23rd, 2008 at 12:44 pm
After Y The Last Man finished I can wait as long as it takes for Ex Machina. It’s not like it’s Astonishing X-Men or anything.
SIXTH!

Looks interesting.

Get over it, ‘Darthphere’. No one’s making you buy anything. Some people might enjoy Millar’s political super-hero stuff. Don’t be such a wah-baby.
February 23rd, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Is Tony Harris drawing any Ex Machina this year? with this and the spider-man mini, I don’t know where he finds the time.

“Get over it, ‘Darthphere’. No one’s making you buy anything. Some people might enjoy Millar’s political super-hero stuff. Don’t be such a wah-baby.”
By that same token, nobody is making you read my comments. And just like “some people” might enjoy Millar’s political superhero stuff there are others that *shocked* don’t. Oh noes!!!11 So not everybody worships the ground Millar walks on so get over it James.

What?!?! Something that is actually honoring troops and not trashing them? What a new, radical idea!
February 24th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
Come off it, already! It’s not like there are hundreds of cars with bumper stickers saying “Don’t support our troops”. This is a volunteer army, and everybody in it made a commitment to follow their country’s military endeavors.
You take the credit, you take the blame.

Hooray! Its another chapter in the Millar “Fascism is nifty!” trilogy! I’ve been waiting all my life for someone to kick me in the face and tell me its for my own good! Yay!

So you’re saying American Soldiers are ‘fascists’ now? Comments like that actually insult REAL victims of REAL fascism.
February 25th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
TJX: I’m not saying that at all. I’m saying that the works Millar has talked about as thematically similar to this- Ultimates and Civil War- have all been about how the military-industrial complex knows whats best for you, and if you disagree then you deserve to get the crap kicked out of you.
American soldiers are just guys and gals, doing the job that their corporate-controlled masters made them do.
February 26th, 2008 at 2:27 am
“if you disagree then you deserve to get the crap kicked out of you.”
Yep, typical leftist mentallity. I should be harmed for having a different opinion. I just think the military knows whats best to defend you.

“American soldiers are just guys and gals, doing the job that their corporate-controlled masters made them do.”
At least YOU have the freedom to vote out these so-called corporate masters. Where’s the fascisim in that huh?
February 26th, 2008 at 2:33 am
Sorry, I meant corporate CONTROLLED masters. Cause lord knows, only Robocop can stop the evil OCP megacorporation.

True, I did use the word fascism rather prejoratively (sp) than accurately. And yes, the American people get to vote every few years or so- which is nice- however, I believe that the elite rich have the various candidates in their pockets to some degree or other, that in the end the vote is really only as valid a choice as between coke™ or pepsi™.
At least we agree on one thing: What the world needs now is Robocop, sweet Robocop.

“At least we agree on one thing: What the world needs now is Robocop, sweet Robocop.”
Yes definately! Anyways, I’m sorry if I sounded rude but it was a healthy debate that we should be happy we’re free to have in our democracies. Truce? : )
Now if you wanna talk ‘fascist’ characters, you should really read Judge Dredd, and he’s been around for almost 30 years now. Yet you can be pretty sure Dredd fans would not want such a fascist regieme running things. They would, however, probably not mind seeing thugs being beaten on the head. lol.

@Snotling: Interesting take on Ultimates and Civil War… in fact, I was really of the opinion that Ultimates was about the exact opposite. Especially Ultimates 2.
Civil War, I’ve always thought, was more even-handed than people think it was.
