What this has meant for Hollywood is that producers and directors are increasingly trying to tap into the ready-made audience for successful gaming franchises. After draining the comic-book world dry for ideas - X-Men, Spider-Man, Superman, the Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Man to name a few - it is turning to the gaming world for profitable concepts.

–Torchwood: The Official Magazine launched earlier this week in the UK and hits the United States in February. Each issue will include an original Torchwood comic strip.
