–Singer John Mayer has apparently been recruited into the Joker’s army.
–Patrick Stevens shares Patrick Stewart’s top five roles, which include a certain mutant, a starship captain and a Simpsons character.
–Comic-con spokesperson David Glanzer says the show hasn’t been affected by the writer’s strike. “Nobody’s indicating anything to us other than what’s standard.” The San Diego Union Tribune article goes on to say:
Glanzer agreed that glitz and glamour have become essential to the Comic-Con experience. Without new Tinseltown products to tout, the Con would have a different vibe.
But, Glanzer insisted, not that much different: “We always have a tremendous amount of comics-oriented stuff. Look at our schedule – 90 percent involves non-Hollywood stuff.”

–Kevin Smith talks to MTV about his potential 10th movie, a Flash Gordon-like sf film called Ranger Danger and the Danger Rangers:
‘Reaper’ made me feel a bit more confident when it comes to effect shoots – not like I’m going out and seeking them, but when it comes to one like ‘Ranger Danger’ I [used to think] ‘maybe when I’m fifty I’ll be ready for it,’” Smith confessed. “But now I feel like, it’s easier to work through things.
“I maybe kind of feel like I maybe can approach ‘Ranger Danger’, and not f— it up completely,” he continued, chuckling.
–Ron Howard is looking at bringing the Lensman books to the big screen.

That Patrick Stewart link isn’t by Patrick Stewart, it’s by a man named Patrick Stevens who was mistaken for Patrick Stewart. Now it’s happened twice.
