Spectacular Spider-Man line-up

Someone had fun writing this (the bolding for emphasis is mine):

March 8 will be a brand-new day for Spider-Man when the CW premieres the iconic Marvel Comics superhero’s newest animated adventures. The Spectacular Spider-Man swings into the network’s “Kids WB” lineup at 10 am/ET.

Kids’ WB has several sneak previews of the show up on their site. Designs from the show (above) are from Sean Galloway’s blog.

Everybody’s pants are way to damn baggy…kids don’t do that like they used to…besides that complete, those are WONDERFUL designs.

  2. Jesse Says:

I’m going to attempt to ignore that Conners has a robotic hand and instead ask the question, why does JJJ look like hitler? Seirously.

  3. Jason M. Bryant Says:

He’s always had the Hitler mustache, it’s just more obvious with some art styles than others.

  4. Richard J. Marcej Says:

“Conners has a robotic hand ”

    Huh.
See, when I say that drawing it looked as if he has a Lizard hand.

  5. Victor Cardenas Says:

I like all of the designs except Spidey himself. That waist is way too skinny.

  6. Joe Williams Says:

Anyone else think it’s weird that Marvel axes the Sensational title just before this series airs? Is that because they were afraid kids would want to buy the comic and being so full of convoluted continuity that they wouldn’t understand it (not to mention that it’s not all ages anyway)?

  7. Justin Copp Says:

Peter actually reminds me a lot of Scott Pilgrim. :D

  8. Fanboy Menace Says:

I got a little of that Scott Pilgrim vibe too.

And I agree… get those pants under contol. Harry looks like he’s wearing MC Hammer pants!

  9. Peter Says:

‘Style’ is just where art departs from reality. So when you say, “eyes are too big” or “waists too narrow”, all you mean is “that art is arty”.

  10. Jason "CodeGuy" Bryant Says:

That doesn’t mean it’s immune to criticism. If someone thinks a character would look better with a different sized waist, that’s a reasonable statement. So when someone says, “waists too narrow,” all he means is, “I think the waist is too narrow.”

Wonder why Spidey’s feet are bigger than Peter Parker’s?
