Yes! This appears to be exactly what I’d hoped for. I have to admit, Superman/Doomsday disappointed me. The New Frontier looks to reaffirm my faith in DC’s direct to video movie line.
I can’t believe they show the island like that. It’s the big reveal of the series. I guess if you haven’t read the book, you may not know what you’re seeing, but still, talk about giving away the farm!

Yeah, but who says this movie has anything to do with the comics?
Regardless of how the whole thing turns out, visually, that movie is gonna rock. Looks like the ‘right’ way to do the old Marvel cartoons where they moved Kirby drawings around by hand
Holy crap….Adam Strange can’t wait to see this. I know he won’t have a big part but that is awesome to see him in this.

Ok so this is yet another great outing for DC animation, we will just look over Doomsday, and I can’t wait for this to hit.
My question to Marvel is “Are you taking notes?”
Why can’t Marvel understand that this type of style works better in this medium and makes things work. Come on give us a cool Avengers animated movie and let Bruce Timm or Jeff Matsuda do the designs.

I guess you didn’t read the book, because the island shows up in the very first panel.
Arg! They put Batman in one of the planes attacking the island (or so it seems)
New Frontier doesn’t need to be changed to make the “Big Three” more important!
Still looks awesome though. All though spoiling the “Right Stuff” walking scene was a poor move IMO Since that’s like the greatest moment in the series.

It’s nice to see the art in motion after the still frames we’ve been getting. This looks good.

Just about everyone who has worked on it, including Cooke.

@ 6. Michael K: “but still, talk about giving away the farm!”
Seriously, Warner Bros can barely cut a trailer without giveing away most of the movie (see ‘I Am Legend’ for a fairly recent example) I hate that…
that said, dang this looks freaking great. I might have to pre-order.

This movie looks GREAT. If its half as good as the comic book, it will be a classic.
