In addition to the international poster I posted earlier, there are a couple more Dark Knight posters out featuring the Joker. This one is probably my favorite:
Also, if you’ve seen I Am Legend and saw the trailer (or the footage in front of the IMAX version), let us know what you thought. A camcorder-recorded version was on YouTube earlier, but has already been taken down.
And thanks to EarCandle and the other folks in the international poster post’s comments section for pointing these out!

It looks terrible. Ledger’s Joker is emo, not crazy. and there’s apparently a homage to the 1989, which is the coolest thing about it–ludicrously, Maggie Gyllenhaal is thrown in the trailer with no identification, like people in Oklahoma know Katie Holmes has been replaced.

Emo? It’s a posed picture. That might not even *be* Heath Ledger. It could easily be a body double doing whatever the photographer tells him to do. Let’s wait until we see his actual performance before we start talking about what his Joker is like.
As it is, I liked the graffiti poster better. More subtle.

Looks like a great poster to me, just the like one of Bats looking out over Gotham (?) from inside a mysterious building (Wayne Tower?). I am so stoked for this movie.
I saw the bootlegged trailer on You Tube before it was pulled. from what I could see, it looked seriously badass to me. I don’t think Joker looks “emo” at all. Personally, I’d say he looks pretty damned crazy. And homocidal. Just as I want Joker to be. Look at him again and tell me he doesn’t look unhinged. Anyhow, when is WB gonna put this thing online officially?
As for Maggie… Um, who really cares that Katie Holmes was replaced? She was fine in BB, but she was hardly essential. I’d argue that most people in Oklahoma who are Bat-fans are well aware that Holmes was replaced (why should they be any different than fans in other areas?), and the rest probably don’t give a damn either way. How does that knowledge (or lack thereof) affect one’s enjoyment of the trailer?

Forgive my typos/spelling errors… I was typing in a hurry. “(H)omicidal” is the word I was going for.

So I just read the article. It says the trailer is supposed to hit online Monday? I suppose they want people to pay for I Am Legend this weekend in order to see it, then put it online for cheapo folks like me. I can wait… I read the original book of I Am Legend, so I don’t feel any need to see the movie now.
Anyhow, the article links to the official Blu-ray site. Why? Do they normally show trailers of upcoming theatrical films there? Interesting.
