Lost Boys comic to bridge gap between original, sequel

Shocktillyoudrop.com reports that in addition to the direct-to-DVD Lost Boys 2 movie, screenwriter Hans Rodionoff is also working on a comic that will feature the Frog Brothers from the first movie … aka Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander, who worked at their parents’ comic shop by day and fought vampires at night:

The Lost Boys 2 writer Hans Rodionoff tells ShockTillYouDrop.com one of the many projects he has in the pipeline is “a four-issue limited comic book series for Wildstorm on the Frog Bros.” In addition to nurturing a screenwriting career, Rodionoff has dipped into the realm of comics penning DC’s “Mnemovore” and the graphic novel “Lovecraft.” The untitled Frog Bros. pulp project, Rodionoff says, will “bridge the movies together – what Edgar and Alan Frog were doing between the first movie and the second one. We’ll get to play with Haim’s character a little bit.”

Both Feldman and Newlander appear in the new film, fighting a pack of vamps that includes Angus Sutherland, Kiefer’s little brother.

ANYTHING to do with Lost Boys has my attention.

Anyone know when Lost Boys 2 is due out?

LB2 seems a bit irrelevant since every other movie has copied first first one ad nausea. I love the first Lost Boys but the need for the sequel passed back in ’87. Not having Corey Haim in the movie is also pointless.

Pretty cool, but when I first saw the headline I thought it was supposed to be a spin-off of Lost Girls.

I already told you. I DON’T LIKE HORROR COMICS!

  7. Cray_ws Says:

Why does Wildstorm get relegated to these kinda projects? DC is totally abusing this imprint.

…because all the 80′s animated properties have been taken, we’re now going to be hit with “ideas” like this. I don’t know what’ll be worse; this comic or the direct-to-DVD-sequel starring only the two Coreys.
