Robin on the Pattullo Bridge

It’s not easy being Robin.

The British Columbia Court of Appeal has upheld the Boy Wonder’s conviction for mischief after he climbed Vancouver’s Pattullo Bridge in September 2004 and unfurled a banner for Fathers 4 Justice.

Robin, aka Harold Legere, held up traffic for six hours to draw attention to fathers’ rights. His costumed cohorts, dressed as Spider-Man and Batman, were detained before they could join him on the bridge.

The Vancouver Sun reports that Legere was convicted of the charge in February 2006, and given a suspended sentence with two years’ probation. He appealed to the Supreme Court which, in November 2006, upheld his conviction. On Friday, the Appeals Court again denied his pleas.
