Can’t wait.

It’s going to be a great year for movies in ‘08.

Is Abe sporting more lipstick than normal?
The first movie was great, possibly one of my fave comic movies with X2. This should be bomb!

I don’t like it. Doesn’t seem to fit with the proper HELLBOY vibe. This reminds me a bit too much of those pervasive BATMAN FOREVER posters with the giant individual character faces on them. I hope that’s not a bit of bleak foreshadowing…

I think it’s more of a stylistic choice. See also X3 and FF2.

I think they should drop the “II” reference in the title. That way they’re not forced into any sort of continuity with future films. But that’s just a personal preference and I cannot think of any compelling reason to make the change.
I’m sure they’re saving the Hellboy character poster for later, but just seeing these two, it seems more like a BPRD movie than a Hellboy one. Oh, wouldn’t that be great if there were BPRD movies in the future, much like the comic?

“I hope that’s not a bit of bleak foreshadowing…”
I’m biting my tongue here. You are speaking from such deep ignorance that I am not sure where to begin.
Same director and cinematographer as the first Hellboy. It should be seamless. And to compare del Toro to Schumacher is insulting.
Mignola owns Hellboy. He controls the property. There is no way one can compare the two properties. The creator controls Hellboy. Unlike Batman where a rotating group of faceless brainless suits controls the property.
In short, you’re so wrong the word ‘wrong’ does not suffice.
