That’s allegedly what New Yorker founder Harold Ross said when asked why he didn’t print the magazine’s gag cartoons in full color. Apparently having nothing better to do, the current New Yorker staff decided to put his quote to the test and drum up some red-themed cartoons. None of them convince me that Ross was wrong, but take a look and see what you think.
