Dostoyevsky Comics

Brian Hughes at Again with the Comics helps answer the question “What if Dostoyevsky wrote Batman?” by posting pages from R. Sikoryak’s Dostoyevsky Comics, which originally appeared in Drawn & Quarterly Volume 3. Per their blog, D + Q will release a collection of Sikoryak’s work, which includes other comics-meets-literature mashups, in Spring 2009.

I love all the humorless spudheads in the comments who just don’t get the joke and see it as an insulting wrongheaded attempt to do a straight adaptation and “replace” the original. Hilarious.
