Trondheim’s A.L.I.E.E.E.N. wins horror award

Lewis Trondheim’s A.L.I.E.E.E.N. won the International Horror Guild Award for Illustrated Narrative, presented last night during the World Fantasy Convention in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The graphic novel was published in France by Editions Breal in 2004, and in the United States by First Second in 2006.

Other nominees in the Illustrated Narrative category were: Macon Blair and Joel Flood, for Hellcity (Gigantic); William Harms, Nick Postic and Nick Marinkovich, for Impaler (Image Comics); and Greg Ruth, for Sudden Gravity: A Tale of the Panopticon (Dark Horse).
