The Hollywood Reporter has a little more on Sunday’s announcement that Fred Claus director David Dobkin will helm The Flash, and some of it is confusing.
First, Craig Wright, creator of ABC’s Dirty, Sexy Money, will write the adaptation.
Now here comes the confusing part: Despite what MTV’s Movies Blog wrote earlier this week, the trade paper says the movie isn’t a spinoff of George Miller’s upcoming Justice League of America. And while MTV quoted Dobkin as confirming that Wally West will be the Scarlet Speedster, The Hollywood Reporter says it isn’t clear which version of the character we’ll see.
So, who to believe? Eh, your guess is as good as mine.
According to the trade, The Flash is part of Dobkin’s new three-year, first-look deal with Warner Bros.
