Think she’ll spin? I bet she spins

So I’ve mentioned the upcoming comic-themed episodes of Dexter and Numb3rs … now Comics Continuum points out a special guest appearance by Wonder Woman on Tuesday’s episode of Bones. Per the site, Emily Deschanel’s Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan wears a Wonder Woman costume and Tamara Taylor’s Dr. Camille Saroyan wears a Catwoman costume in the Halloween episode.

Season 7 24 trailer

Damn. January’s a long time from now …

Razorettes!

Double damn. At least November’s not that far away.

See what Mark Millar started?

Millar may not have gotten that Superman movie script assignment he wanted, but that isn’t stopping Kaare Andrews from making a play for He-Man. Andrews has some experience with film, so it isn’t totally off base …

That might be enough to make me watch that show.

  2. RMC Says:

If I see any cleavage during an action sequence I’m putting the producers on the same shit list as Lenil Yu. ;¬)

  3. Scott King Says:

They did a full comic book episode during their first season. The episode was kind of offensive suggesting that comic book are only superheroes and that only socially inept people read them.

  4. RMC Says:

I saw that episode. It was very condescending. I’m going to do a superhero comic about how morbid, repressed and paranoid/suspiscious forensic pathologists are.

It’s going to be called “Scapel Pervert”

  5. Tim Agen Says:

She spins in the ad I saw.

The comic book episode was condescending? I don’t remember that. But I take in “Bones” in as a guilty pleasure, I’m not very critical of it. I like Tempie’s lack of ego. It’s fun.

Man, that episode of Bones with the comic book stuff WAS SO condescending. I wrote them a letter and told them “Look, there are NO superheroes in comics, OK?! And there are no skeevy comic book shops or comic book shop owners! ALL (and I mean every single goddamn one) comic book shops are clean, well-lit, family friendly places where employees greet male and female customers with the same degree of super-helpful and friendly customer service and nobody has BO or bad breath and the racks all glow with the overwhelming power that is COMICS!!! How dare you use COMICS as a backdrop to tell a story about a crazy person!! Now, everyone in the world is going to think people who read or make comics is a lunatic!
How would you like it if I made a show that portrayed forensic anthropolgists in a totally unrealistic, fantastic manner just to tell a story? I don’t see you misrepresenting and stereotyping other industries, like the recording industry or the film industry, or lawyers or doctors. I will never watch your show again unless you can correct this horrible misrepresentation of my one true love…COMICS!!!”
