Silver Bullet Comic Books to become Comics Bulletin

The comic book news site Silver Bullet Comic Books — not to be confused with the retail comics site Silver Bullet Comics — issued a press release late last week saying they will change their name:

“Nearly eight years ago we launched a site into the burgeoning field of comics journalism,” said SBC/Comics Bulletin publisher Jason Brice. “In that time, Silver Bullet Comics has become recognized as the pre-eminent site for comics criticism and has featured the writing of a huge number of fans and professionals. It’s axiomatic in many industries that any organisation must ‘change or die,’ and so to that end, we’re moving to the next step in evolution, with a new name, a new design, and a new approach to what we do best.

“Change or die” is an interesting choice of words. Back in August, W. Alan Davis of the retail site SBC said he owned the trademark on Silver Bullet Comics. And Brant Fowler, who runs SBC’s (the retailer) online news area, commented on the situation between the two sites right here on Blog@:

Just to clarify the part about SBC and SBCB, there are things in progress to settle the situation, no one is whining. It’s just that through the legal system it takes time for things to come to fruition.

Sounds like things have finally been settled.
