Jeph Loeb wants you to know: He wants the entire Marvel Universe to be his plaything:
“I love the Hulk… The adventure of his life, the troubles and the power are all things we want to continue with. This first [new ongoing title] ‘HULK’ arc brings something new into the Hulk’s stories — a murder mystery as one of the oldest characters in Hulk’s universe meets a grisly end. But who is responsible and then why is pretty dark. I also love the supporting cast — Iron Man, She-Hulk, Leonard Samson, and Thunderbolt Ross — and a few surprises I don’t want to give away right now.”
Wait, two characters who don’t have their own books? Jeph? What are you thinking?

He’s going to write the Long Halloween yet again?

A red skinned Hulk? Wasn’t that the idea of another writer? Who Loeb will probably clown in a backup story like he did with Wein, then ripped off Wein’s premise of Logan actually being an evolved Wolf?

So… Who’s betting on Rick Jones in red? I know I am…

Well, I might have to check this out (in a collected edition, of course). I love Ed McGuinness’s art on the right project. The Hulk is a perfect match for his style.
My problem is that I am less and less impressed with Jeph Loeb’s writing with every project he does. Two of my favorite artists, Tim Sale and Ed McGuinness, are usually paired with one of my least favorite writers. However, I will give it a shot with the expectation that Loeb will be inspired by the subject matter.
Not loving the “Red Hulk” thing, though. I would have preferred going with gray. A red Hulk just looks a little, um, red for me.
