Hugo Cabret nominated for National Book Award

Tom Spurgeon and Heidi MacDonald catch the news that The Invention of Hugo Cabret, illustrator Brian Selznick’s hybrid prose/comics children’s book, has been nominated for a prestigious National Book Award in the Young People’s Literature category.

The winners will be announced on Nov. 14.
