The Last Christmas

Hollywood Gang Prods., the folks who nabbed the rights to the Warren Ellis-written series Ocean a couple of months back, have acquired the rights to Image’s The Last Christmas.

The Mad Max meets A Year Without a Santa Claus story involves Santa Claus trying to save Christmas after the apocalypse … and fighting zombies, of course. It was written by Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn with art by Rick Remender, Hilary Barta and Michele Madsen. More details on the book can be found here.

  1. Eric Arsenault Says:

Wow, I read the Last Christmas and it was a great and fast paced story, lots of violence and everything.

Hope they will be able to retain the essence of it all if the movie happens, a PG-13 would be the lowest rating that they would need to make it work I think.

    Congratulations to all involved.

  2. DaVeO Says:

Retain the essence? Things get shot a lot by Santa. Not a whole lot of essence to retain.

  3. Jason Dincauze Says:

They are greenlighting anything now, huh? How would that possibly work as a movie?

  4. Toneloak Says:

I’ve read this series It’s very fun book. Narrated by Frosty’s cousin Gary the Snowman. I think this could be a great animated Christmas movie. I know I’d watch it.

But, please make it animated mostly 2D animated. Please it can great! Though, I would really like a very clean art style. But, this is good new none-the-less.
