Neatorama points to a collection of quotes from the 1960s Batman TV series of the Caped Crusader lecturing the Boy Wonder. Some choice favorites:
Robin: “Let’s go!”
Batman: “Not you, Robin. They have strict licensing laws in this country. A boy of your age is not allowed in a drinking tavern.”Robin: “You can’t get away from Batman that easy!”
Batman: “Easily.”
Robin: “Easily.”
Batman: “Good grammar is essential, Robin.”
Robin: “Thank you.”
Batman: “You’re welcome.”Bruce: “Don’t dip your oar in this sordid sea, Dick. You might be besmirched.”
I’m not sure, but that last one may be dirty.

Man, this was fun to read. I remember when I was younger and reading Batman comics, I used to hate this show and think it was so stupid. It didn’t depict the “real” Batman in my eyes.
Then I grew up and stoped taking everything so seriously and realized that this was a very funny, very witty show that had a lot of style and creativity. I want it on DVD!

Man, these are fantastic. When oh when will this show be released on DVD?
Robin, about Catwoman: “Do you think she’ll kill Batgirl?”
Batman: “Or worse, Robin. Or worse.”

Batman: “Or worse, Robin. Or worse.””
