The current Previews catalog contains the solicitation for my first full-length comic, BloodRayne: Automaton, from Digital Webbing Press. The series is based on the popular video games.
The one-shot, illustrated by the talented Andre Coelho (Cthulhu Tales, Cover Girl) and written by me, features covers by Kody Chamberlain (Punks, 30 Days of Night: Bloodsucker Tales) and Jeremy Roberts.
Here’s the quick-and-easy solicitation text: “After the shocking revelations of Red Blood Run, BloodRayne and a rag-tag group of Brimstone Society members set off in search of the mystical item that may save them from destruction. But two things stand in their way: a seemingly impenetrable tower … and the automaton.”
It’s a fun (I hope) story that mixes action with magic and folklore, and doesn’t require the reader to be totally immersed in the world of BloodRayne. Oh, how I love folklore.
I have at least two more issues in the pipeline, so this one better sell at least reasonably well.
