I do a weekly column dedicated to recapping and reviewing Milestone Comics, appropriately entitled "Milestone Mondays" (Since they usually get posted on Mondays.... clever I know!) Previously this column was found over at Bahlactus' home base (he who brings us Friday Night Fights!), but now it is exclusively on my blog. This week is special for "Milestone Mondays", as I am doing a week long series of posts dedicated to the Shadow War crossover. Having missed about a decade of comics from when I read them in my younger years to when I bought them again recently I've decided to just do a highlight tour of stuff in the local library collection. There's also a bunch of stuff I just never read (Alan Moore's Swamp Thing comes to mind) that I'm slowly becoming acquainted with. Sure the blog went on major hiatus because of Autumn comic burnout, but I'm going to post about Sin City and Akira (hopefully later today one of them will be up). Sure, not breaking any new ground in material selection but I just read both of them in their entirety and it's funny how their length vs. quality is inversely proportional. I’ve always tried to write about comics that I’m just reading. Of course, "what's new" doesn't always mean what came out last week; I often don't get to graphic novels or manga until it's been out for a few months. But I do have one series I was thinking about reviewing, so maybe I'll get on it. You're an inspiration, Chris!
