This should be absolutely mobbed: My Chemical Romance frontman and comic-book writer Gerard Way will appear from 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow at Forbidden Planet’s New York City store to sign copies of The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite #1 (released tomorrow, naturally).

“Given how astonishingly popular the Free Comic Book Day taster of Umbrella Academy was with fans I’d guess this is going to be a very, very busy gig,” Joe writes at the Forbidden Planet blog. “I’d also suspect that there will be a lot of folks who aren’t normally comics readers who will be picking this up and who knows, perhaps they will get a taste for the medium and ask staff, hey, I really liked this, what else can you recommend to me?”

According to the store’s website, this is a ticketed event, limited to the first 200 people. Tickets went on sale yesterday.
