Paul O’Brien is looking at Marvel sales for July, and brings the sad truth with him:
Strange but true: [World War Hulk: X-Men] is outselling COUNTDOWN. In fact, so is WORLD WAR HULK: FRONT LINE, but that one doesn’t surprise me so much. It’s a strange world we live in.
Dear DC: That sound you hear is apparently a warning siren.

I for one am tired of DC showing off its counting ability. First up, now down…just get on with the big crisis already and not 52 books of exposition and boredom.
I wonder how many book 52 & Countdown would fill if you cut out all the crap?

Or looked at another way: a major team’up of big Marvel heroes is outselling what at this point is basically a DC anthology series. Not so weird then.
Not that I like being positive about Countdown, but seen in that light, it’s actually doing tremendous numbers.

hey, Marc Spector is a Homophobic, Girlfriend Hitting Asshat Monthly is outselling Superman. That’s an even bigger sign.
