Comiket cosplay (from Heisei Democracy)

ComiPress has word that Comiket, aka Comic Market, set a new attendance record over the weekend, drawing 550,000 people to the Tokyo Big Sight in Japan.

The three-day, semiannual fair — it’s held in August and December — is the world’s largest comic convention.

Heisei Democracy has a first-person report from Comiket, and a cosplay gallery (from which I swiped the above photo).
