Doug Wolk is a good writer. But I read his article about Steve Ditko in the NY Times and I'm amazed that The Times would let him be so sloppy with his facts. All he had to do was look at the credits on the title pages of the comics where Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk first appeared and he'd see that Steve Ditko had absolutely nothing to do with their creation. Steve was my co-creator on Spider-Man and Dr. Strange. Period. I'm amazed that he would make such a glaring error, one which every comicbook fan will instantly spot. Don Heck drew the first Iron Man strip and Jack Kirby drew the first Hulk.

I've read it. It's really quite good. The topics Wolk choses to tackle are all diverse enough to keep the readers attention, even the stuff that you yourself might not be that interested in or think you're not. Morrison's Invisibles, the Starlin Warlock, Tomb of Dracula, the work of Chris Ware, Fun Home, etc. are all covered.

Highly recommended!

I already put his book on my wish list at Amazon. If they have it at Midtown this week, I'll pick it up there.
