According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scarlett Johansson is in final negotiations to play a femme fatale in Will Eisner’s The Spirit, directed by Frank Miller.
She’ll star as Silk N. Floss, “a sexy and intelligent secretary with a vindictive instinct” who becomes the accomplice of the Octopus, played by Samuel L. Jackson.
Currently starring in The Nanny Diaries, Johansson also has appeared in Ghost World, The Prestige and The Black Dahlia.
In far less concrete casting news, Starpulse passes along the rumor that Katie Holmes flew from Berlin to Los Angeles for a “secret meeting” with producers and her agents about starring in Wonder Woman.
That makes Holmes (Batman Begins) roughly the 250th actress said to be in the running to play the Amazon princess.

Katie Holmes would be the nail in Wonder Woman’s coffin. It’s clear that DC/WB don’t respect the character at all. I’d rather never have another WW story than to see them keep denegrating a great character.
Scarlett in anything is good. Unless it’s a snoozefest directed by snoozefest master Christopher Nolan.

Katie Holmes was the element that spoiled the Batman film for me, so it would completely remove Wonder Woman from my radar.

my only problem with kaite holmes is that i have never seen her do anything that would give me the idea that she can deliver lines with the power and authority that diana requires. doesnt mean she CANT do that, its just i have no reason to think she could.
i mean, diana can talk shit to batman and stand up in a superman fight. that’s some serious shit!
